For the first time in history Rallye Weiz is part of the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship. As round five from nine events in the series for historic rally cars Rallye Weiz will offer a travel back in time for the spectators.
The fight for the Austrian Rallye Championship title continues at round five. After four rounds Youngster Julian Wagner could keep the lead in the championship standings and was able to counter the attack of former champion Hermann Neubauer.
The Austrian 2WD championship in Austria is studded with fast drivers. The german Hermann Gassner jun. (Toyotoa GT86 R3) will be the benchmark, although he is not able to score points in the championship.
